Konak Jimnastik's Erdoğan Zühtü proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Konak Jimnastik from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Tarabya's goalkeeper Gürsel Bozoğluer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serbülent Şimşektürk. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Talip Özinal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarabya's supporters rose to their feet, but Talip Özinal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erdoğan Zühtü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dursun Ali Öztaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zekai Orhon fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarabya's protests and gave Zekai Orhon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tarabya's Zekai Orhon got a free kick in the 91st minute. Konak Jimnastik's Erdoğan Zühtü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dursun Ali Öztaş in the 96th minute of play.
