Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sögütlü SK's Tayyip Malgır started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilgin's Lütfi Ülküm got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Lütfi Ülküm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilgin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lütfi Ülküm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Sögütlü SK's Tacettin Gülerce got control of the ball when Veysel Özan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Veysel Özan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tacettin Gülerce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lütfi Ülküm, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes, Nizam Şenbay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilgin and the Sögütlü SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Ilgin got a freekick which was hit by Nizam Şenbay. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Lütfi Ülküm took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Tacettin Gülerce to make any attempt to save it.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lütfi Ülküm was the one to do the kick off. When Selami Ulukan fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sögütlü SK's protests and gave Selami Ulukan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ilgin booed when Sögütlü SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selami Ulukan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Veysel Özan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Lütfi Ülküm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tacettin Gülerce was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tayyip Malgır managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sögütlü SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tayyip Malgır was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gürol Yelesen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veysel Özan might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tacettin Gülerce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Veysel Özan ran back to his position shaking his head. Gürol Yelesen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tayyip Malgır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lütfi Ülküm in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tacettin Gülerce saved Sögütlü SK from getting behind. Veysel Özan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tacettin Gülerce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veysel Özan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Ilgin players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
