Sökespor's Kubilay Keçeli got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Muharrem Sanak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Muharrem Sanak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Cengiz Akbora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celal İncili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Cemberlitas JK got a freekick which was hit by Bumin Horasan. Muharrem Sanak's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cemberlitas JK's zone, Ali Cengiz Akbora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu came out of the goal and Ali Cengiz Akbora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kubilay Keçeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ahmet Refik Hasanoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
