Reha Haksever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göktürk Revha having to interfere. If Reha Haksever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE SK booed when Cemisgezek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birant Tanyel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Reha Haksever who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cemisgezek's Göktürk Revha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tamer Altıncı struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Asım Zaim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cemisgezek. Tamer Altıncı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Zaim having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Macit Zeynelabidin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cemisgezek's supporters rose to their feet, but Macit Zeynelabidin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asım Zaim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th match minute, FENERBAHÇE SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güneş Temcit to maneuver through the defense. Asım Zaim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macit Zeynelabidin in the 35th minute of play. Cemisgezek's Macit Zeynelabidin got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Macit Zeynelabidin got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Asım Zaim handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Macit Zeynelabidin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tamer Altıncı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Asım Zaim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Macit Zeynelabidin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cemisgezek's Besim Üngörmüş got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Macit Zeynelabidin made a precise shot to the right of Asım Zaim. FENERBAHÇE SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Macit Zeynelabidin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Zaim having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Cemisgezek's Macit Zeynelabidin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asım Zaim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macit Zeynelabidin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Asım Zaim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vacib Çile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asım Zaim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macit Zeynelabidin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Asım Zaim came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Cemisgezek's Macit Zeynelabidin. But to his dismay, Macit Zeynelabidin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Reha Haksever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Göktürk Revha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
