Murat Eski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Namık Akduman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Feyyaz Falcıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Namık Akduman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Namık Akduman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Eski in the 27th minute of play. With his leg Onur Kelim managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Ovacik's Adil Özselen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cengiz Özyurek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Cengiz Özyurek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ovacik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cengiz Özyurek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Elazigspor's Feyyaz Falcıoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Namık Akduman narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feyyaz Falcıoğlu was the one to do the kick off. If Namık Kemal Zekai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a left leg Onur Kelim saved Elazigspor from getting behind. Umur Sayraç hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cengiz Özyurek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ovacik's supporters rose to their feet, but Cengiz Özyurek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Onur Kelim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elazigspor's goalkeeper Onur Kelim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
