Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arif Burak Ulgu started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Duran Temizkan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FENERBAHÇE SK's Aysan Akdiken. Aysan Akdiken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th minute Arif Burak Ulgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aysan Akdiken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Aysan Akdiken managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Ankaragücü FK's Bilgehan Cihanmert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. İlbey Yanal kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Vahap Açıker fired a really elegant long shot, but Aysan Akdiken threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Arif Burak Ulgu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ankaragücü FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Burak Ulgu couldn't finish the play. FENERBAHÇE SK's Aysan Akdiken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Burak Ulgu in the 31st minute of play. In the 38th minute, Arif Burak Ulgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mesut Akçakoca managed to get in a good position for a shot. FENERBAHÇE SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mesut Akçakoca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eralp Lemi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asım Uygu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eralp Lemi having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mesut Akçakoca made a kick off. In the 61st match minute, FENERBAHÇE SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahsun İbrahimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Polat Deren kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Mesut Akçakoca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Batu Uluçkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Ankaragücü FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mesut Akçakoca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aysan Akdiken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duran Temizkan went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE SK booed when Ankaragücü FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Burak Ulgu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mesut Akçakoca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ankaragücü FK's zone, Asım Uygu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eralp Lemi came out of the goal and Asım Uygu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes FENERBAHÇE SK got a freekick which was hit by Gafur Mengübay. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ankaragücü FK had played much better football throughout.
