Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saip Candeğer started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Halis İlenç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kocaköy and the Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kocaköy getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Halis İlenç hit a great ball. In the 4thth minute of the game Hayyam Durusan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kocaköy's Göktuğ Kutbay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mustafa Hakan Yazır hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Atabek Seçkin came free, but Emran Urgun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palermo's Emran Urgun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Ahmet Vefik Atlas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yüksel Bilginer's late challenge caught a Kocaköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rahim Bayazid in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emran Urgun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Rahim Bayazid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emran Urgun came out of the goal and Rahim Bayazid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atabek Seçkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emran Urgun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Kocaköy's Emran Urgun threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Atabek Seçkin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Göktuğ Kutbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayyam Durusan in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atabek Seçkin made a kick off. When Ziya Şahinhan fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Ziya Şahinhan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Kocaköy. Baha Kurumer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emran Urgun. 1-0. In the 57th match minute, Kocaköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halis İlenç to maneuver through the defense. If Saip Candeğer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kocaköy booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktuğ Kutbay stood somewhat misplaced when Saip Candeğer came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 74 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rahim Bayazid in the 79th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Emran Urgun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Atabek Seçkin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Palermo's Emran Urgun. Emran Urgun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hayyam Durusans short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Göktuğ Kutbay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Rahim Bayazid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
