Vitold Kohan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adalar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakkı Suphi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Raşit Sinan came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Adalar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raşit Sinan couldn't finish the play. The Real Madrid CF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Madrid CF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
