A collision led to Elbistan getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ahmet Seyfi Bozlak hit a great ball. When Aysan Uluçkan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Varto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aysan Uluçkan couldn't finish the play. If Gürkan Balcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elbistan's İskender Tanju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akşemseddin Serimer in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elbistan's goalkeeper İskender Tanju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. İskender Tanju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akşemseddin Serimer in the 39th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gürkan Balcan made a kick off.
