Yalçın Kahraman was left in no man's land by his defense there! ALTAY's Arif Yazır got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yalçın Kahraman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Yazır in the 11th minute of play. Karsiyaka's Yalçın Kahraman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Yazır in the 16th minute of play. Taner Devan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Arif Yazır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinç Okman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hızır Cihangir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güral Muzaffer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taci Ülgenalp kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Hızır Turhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Dinç Okman made the kick off in the second half. Dinç Okman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinç Okman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hızır Cihangir having to interfere. Güral Muzaffer might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hızır Cihangir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Güral Muzaffer ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dinç Okman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taci Ülgenalp was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 73rd match minute, ALTAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taci Ülgenalp to maneuver through the defense. Dinç Okman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hızır Cihangir having to interfere. If Cuma Tüzüner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hızır Cihangir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinç Okman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The ALTAY players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
