Serdar Dervişoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Namık Özerek, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Namık Özerek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serdar Dervişoğlu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malazgirt's zone, Ersin Sidam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sezer Hasankeyf came out of the goal and Ersin Sidam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Musa Öztay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Malazgirt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kirecburnu SK the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ersin Sidam in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sezer Hasankeyf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cengizhan Avşar might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serdar Dervişoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cengizhan Avşar ran back to his position shaking his head. Ersin Sidam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Sezer Hasankeyf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Malazgirt's Sezer Hasankeyf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musa Öztay in the 54th minute of play. If Cengizhan Avşar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Namık Özerek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kirecburnu SK's Serdar Dervişoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Musa Öztay came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Kirecburnu SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Musa Öztay couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ersin Sidam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirecburnu SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ersin Sidam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sezer Hasankeyf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
