An unexpectedly hard shot by Tevfik Semim in the 6th minute of play forced Germencik's goalkeeper Çağdaş Talaykut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germencik's Çağdaş Talaykut proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Germencik from getting a goal against them. Kocaelispor FK's Arif Ozan Demirkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Korkut Bal in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Germencik's goal looked a bit too open when Tevfik Semim came free, but Çağdaş Talaykut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çağdaş Talaykut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tevfik Semim in the 22nd minute of play. If Gencay Zaid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tevfik Semim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Korkut Bal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arif Ozan Demirkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akif Baltacıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kocaelispor FK's Tevfik Semim was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tevfik Semim made a kick off. Çağdaş Talaykut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tevfik Semim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Akif Baltacıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Germencik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akif Baltacıoğlu couldn't finish the play. Tevfik Semim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağdaş Talaykut having to interfere. Öztürk Erdesir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Ender Tümkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Baran Ortan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Akif Baltacıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Ozan Demirkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Korkut Bal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Korkut Bal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arif Ozan Demirkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Germencik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gencay Zaid was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gencay Zaid took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Çağdaş Talaykut. Çağdaş Talaykut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kocaelispor FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germencik had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
