Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Şanver Muhittin started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Karatay got a freekick which was hit by Yiğitcan Eryaman. Yaser Başaydın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Aydıntan in the 6th minute of play. Vatan Aydıntan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaser Başaydın having to interfere. When Vatan Aydıntan came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Görele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vatan Aydıntan couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Görele's zone, Kamer İzzet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orhan Muammer came out of the goal and Kamer İzzet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vatan Aydıntan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Uluç Ağçelik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Hayati Arslanşah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Görele played a much better game than Karatay and deserved their victory. The Karatay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
