The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Turgay Gülle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Berk Erdemli having to interfere. Abdi Mehmet Zevahir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lefter Vahit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Tarsus JK defense, Lefter Vahit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdi Mehmet Zevahir. The Tarsus JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdi Mehmet Zevahir should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Tarsus JK's Yetkin Sarvan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anıl Berk Erdemli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erdemli's Anıl Berk Erdemli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Erdemli from getting a goal against them. Muhsin Sanal kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Tarsus JK booed when Erdemli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhsin Sanal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tarsus JK's Gürol Hafız tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Erdemli getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Muhsin Sanal hit a great ball. Yetkin Sarvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Berk Erdemli having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Lefter Vahit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Abdi Mehmet Zevahir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Lefter Vahit came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Erdemli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lefter Vahit couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Tarsus JK's goal looked a bit too open when Arcan Vasfi came free, but Abdi Mehmet Zevahir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arcan Vasfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdi Mehmet Zevahir having to interfere. Turgay Gülle charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Turgay Gülle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tarsus JK's Turgay Gülle got a free kick in the 45th minute. Alparslan Sabi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdi Mehmet Zevahir. Tarsus JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arcan Vasfi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute Arcan Vasfi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdi Mehmet Zevahir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdi Mehmet Zevahir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arcan Vasfi in the 73rd minute of play. Sufi Toktamış hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Lefter Vahit who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Abdi Mehmet Zevahir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tarsus JK's Abdi Mehmet Zevahir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Tarsus JK from getting a goal against them. Tarsus JK's Abdi Mehmet Zevahir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Vasfi in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Lefter Vahit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erdemli's supporters rose to their feet, but Lefter Vahit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdi Mehmet Zevahir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rahman Koralp came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Erdemli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rahman Koralp couldn't finish the play. Tarsus JK's Sufi Toktamış got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arcan Vasfi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Abdi Mehmet Zevahir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 99 minutes, Lefter Vahit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erdemli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lefter Vahit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Erdemli had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
