A collision led to Tophane getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Baykan Uraz hit a great ball. Azim Satıbey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıza Baliç having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Başar İlbey to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Tophane got a freekick which was hit by Vural Malik. In the 56th minute, Arif Ensar Secavend made a precise shot to the right of Batı Olgunsu. Kavaklidere FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Başar İlbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Tophane got a freekick which was hit by Hüsamettin Şehzade. If Azim Satıbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. Tophane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yunus Eryaman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Batı Olgunsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Başar İlbey, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Batı Olgunsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Ensar Secavend in the 81st minute of the match. Rıza Baliç made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Yunus Eryaman sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the game, Yunus Eryaman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rıza Baliç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rıza Baliç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azim Satıbey in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Arif Ensar Secavend managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tophane's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Ensar Secavend was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batı Olgunsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Kavaklidere FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kavaklidere FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
