Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fatih Elçioğlu started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Mesopotamia booed when Termal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nadir Adısönmez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Bedih Adalı reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anıl Arda Özgenalp. The goal made the score 1-0. Yaşar Nuri Şen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fatih Elçioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Bedih Adalı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ömür Safvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesopotamia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ömür Safvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anıl Arda Özgenalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Bedih Adalı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alaaddin As's late challenge caught a Termal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alaaddin As helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Termal booed when Mesopotamia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedih Adalı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esat Baykal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Nejat Savaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yaşar Nuri Şen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güvenç Başkaynak in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samir Demiray to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia's goal looked a bit too open when Fatih Elçioğlu came free, but Yaşar Nuri Şen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia's goalkeeper Yaşar Nuri Şen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esat Baykal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esat Baykal got free with Yaşar Nuri Şen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ömür Safvet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Anıl Arda Özgenalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fatih Elçioğlu took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yaşar Nuri Şen. Yaşar Nuri Şen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Esat Baykal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esat Baykal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Yaşar Nuri Şen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samir Demiray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Arda Özgenalp having to interfere.
