The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ercüment Topçay fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karagümrük SK's protests and gave Ercüment Topçay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Karagümrük SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercüment Topçay to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saffet İnegöllü got free with Gökcan Duran in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alim Akdoruk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serhat Regaip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reşit Cemşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gökcan Duran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Galerya fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Galerya's Ahmet Davut Uluhan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th minute, Hayati Kayra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Galerya's Aytunç Cevahir got a free kick in the 19th minute. A hard shot by Ercüment Topçay from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Gökcan Duran's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Karagümrük SK's Alim Akdoruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıkan Münir in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batıkan Münir in the 38th minute of play forced Karagümrük SK's goalkeeper Alim Akdoruk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Galerya's Batıkan Münir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alim Akdoruk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Saffet İnegöllü had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökcan Duran. Galerya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saffet İnegöllü was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reşit Cemşit made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Korkut Uyguner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Karagümrük SK's Saffet İnegöllü sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökcan Duran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alim Akdoruk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 76 minutes into the match, Reşit Cemşit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökcan Duran. Galerya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reşit Cemşit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Batıkan Münir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alim Akdoruk having to interfere. Ahmet Davut Uluhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Alim Akdoruk made a huge save. Gökcan Duran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saffet İnegöllü in the 90th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Galerya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Bilge Akgöl to maneuver through the defense. The Karagümrük SK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Galerya's performance. The match ended with a win for Galerya.
