After 3 minutes, Pars Akarslan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the Espiye players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bedri Akartürk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kutlay Kutlucan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Bedri Akartürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kutlay Kutlucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, İzzet Tümerk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espiye's supporters rose to their feet, but İzzet Tümerk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emrullah Sami breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bedri Akartürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kutlay Kutlucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutlay Kutlucan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anıl Mücahit Acar in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Anıl Mücahit Acar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anıl Mücahit Acar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bedri Akartürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kutlay Kutlucan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Espiye's zone, Anıl Mücahit Acar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kutlay Kutlucan came out of the goal and Anıl Mücahit Acar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anıl Mücahit Acar came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anıl Mücahit Acar couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anıl Mücahit Acar made a kick off. Enginsu Evvel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Galatasaray's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gazanfer Özcan Birhan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Onuralp Zor's late challenge caught a Espiye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onuralp Zor helped the player get up and apologised. Bedri Akartürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
