Anıl Mücahit Acar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökçek Taşkınay having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Atalay Taygun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ahirkapi FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atalay Taygun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Mücahit Acar in the 25th minute of play forced Ahirkapi FK's goalkeeper Gökçek Taşkınay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anıl Mücahit Acar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökçek Taşkınay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedri Akartürk in the 28th minute of the match. Onuralp Zor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Bedri Akartürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Bedri Akartürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökçek Taşkınay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atalay Taygun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ecevit Demirağ stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emrullah Sami stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ecevit Demirağ's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When Ecevit Demirağ came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ahirkapi FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ecevit Demirağ couldn't finish the play. Bedri Akartürk's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Gökçek Taşkınay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ecevit Demirağ in the 61st minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Emrullah Sami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecevit Demirağ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emrullah Sami read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Arif Oğuz Baykutay's late challenge caught a Ahirkapi FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arif Oğuz Baykutay helped the player get up and apologised. Arif Oğuz Baykutay hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ahirkapi FK's Ecevit Demirağ fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Bedri Akartürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedri Akartürk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Gökçek Taşkınay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ecevit Demirağ scored 1-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emrullah Sami, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bedri Akartürk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gökçek Taşkınay having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ahirkapi FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Galatasaray had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
