Alkan Ulucan struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ahmet Nafiz Dede didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bursaspor. 11 minutes into the game, Eyüp Kudsi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karayazi JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bursaspor the free kick. A collision led to Karayazi JK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Eyüp Kudsi hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Karayazi JK's goal looked a bit too open when Alkan Ulucan came free, but Ahmet Nafiz Dede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alkan Ulucan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ahmet Nafiz Dede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bumin Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Nafiz Dede having to interfere. After 28 minutes of play, Bursaspor's Bumin Hallaç made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Nafiz Dede was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alkan Ulucan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bursaspor getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dinç Özonder hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Dinç Özonder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Nafiz Dede saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alkan Ulucan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkan Ulucan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Nafiz Dede breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Karayazi JK's goal looked a bit too open when Bumin Hallaç came free, but Ahmet Nafiz Dede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alkan Ulucan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bursaspor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
