Metamath's Ahmet İlke Tarancı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Metamath from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Bumin Hallaç took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ahmet İlke Tarancı to make any attempt to save it. Bumin Hallaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet İlke Tarancı made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Nurettin Taşkıner sent off a good shot on target. Ahmet Hamdi Yunus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ateş Toktaş in the 23rd minute of play forced Bursaspor's goalkeeper İsrafil Akersoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibet İlbilge kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Bursaspor's Azmi Erdönmez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Ahmet Hamdi Yunus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of İsrafil Akersoy. Bursaspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Hamdi Yunus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ahmet Kortan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Azmi Erdönmez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Metamath booed when Bursaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nurettin Taşkıner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Metamath's Ateş Toktaş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İsrafil Akersoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bumin Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlke Tarancı having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Alkan Ulucan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkan Ulucan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet İlke Tarancı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alkan Ulucan made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ateş Toktaş in the 61st minute of play forced Bursaspor's goalkeeper İsrafil Akersoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alkan Ulucan in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet İlke Tarancı saved Metamath from getting behind. Ahmet Hamdi Yunus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsrafil Akersoy having to interfere. Bumin Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlke Tarancı having to interfere. Alkan Ulucan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlke Tarancı having to interfere. When Tibet İlbilge fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metamath's protests and gave Tibet İlbilge a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the match, Bursaspor's Azmi Erdönmez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 80 minutes into the match, Metamath's goal looked a bit too open when Bumin Hallaç came free, but Ahmet İlke Tarancı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet İlke Tarancı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bumin Hallaç in the 86th minute of play. Bumin Hallaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bumin Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlke Tarancı having to interfere. Ahmet İlke Tarancı stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alkan Ulucan's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Bumin Hallaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ahmet İlke Tarancı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tibet İlbilge was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th match minute, Metamath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibet İlbilge to maneuver through the defense.
