After a defensive mix-up in AkbuluTR's zone, Zekai Bahar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cenap Cansefa came out of the goal and Zekai Bahar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bedirhan Bayındır during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 9 minutes into the match, AkbuluTR's goal looked a bit too open when Durmuş Adanır came free, but Cenap Cansefa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes AkbuluTR got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Orhan İrem. Alişan Kurboga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Volkan Tuğcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gebze JK getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gökhan İhya hit a great ball. Volkan Tuğcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Numan Hastimur in the 17th minute of play. Yunus Sunay's late challenge caught a AkbuluTR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yunus Sunay helped the player get up and apologised. Yunus Sunay hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Ali Numan Hastimur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Tuğcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alişan Kurboga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ahmet Orhan İrem kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind AkbuluTR's goalkeeper Cenap Cansefa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Volkan Tuğcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Numan Hastimur in the 52nd minute of the match. Many of Gebze JK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Gebze JK may have spent more time on the ball, but AkbuluTR were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
