The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harun Cintay came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Denizlispor SK's Özmen Tamkut. But to his dismay, Özmen Tamkut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cevizlibag! Özmen Tamkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harun Cintay having to interfere. If Ahmet Kağan Uçhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özmen Tamkut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harun Cintay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Tacettin Özkutsal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kağan Uçhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Cevizlibag's goal looked a bit too open when Özmen Tamkut came free, but Harun Cintay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Özmen Tamkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harun Cintay came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Denizlispor SK's Tansu Sayrak. But to his dismay, Tansu Sayrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Özmen Tamkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cevizlibag players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denizlispor SK were winning 0-2.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Kemal Yoruk during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cevizlibag booed when Denizlispor SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Kemal Yoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tacettin Özkutsal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kağan Uçhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cevizlibag's zone, Tansu Sayrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harun Cintay came out of the goal and Tansu Sayrak tried to chip the ball over his head. Şakir Necip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Özmen Tamkut struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Harun Cintay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denizlispor SK. In the 63rd minute of the match, Özmen Tamkut tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Harun Cintay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 64th minute Denizlispor SK were awarded a corner. Ali Nejat Taciroğlu went to the cornerflag to take it. 68 minutes in the game, Özmen Tamkut fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Harun Cintay having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özmen Tamkut in the 69th minute of play forced Cevizlibag's goalkeeper Harun Cintay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harun Cintay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özmen Tamkut in the 95th minute of play. Denizlispor SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
