When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Hidayet Çelen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Behlül Çalapover. Hidayet Çelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Behlül Çalapover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarık Dervişoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muammer Türkoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute, Genco Tükelalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basbasi's Muammer Türkoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muammer Türkoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tarık Dervişoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muammer Türkoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Muammer Türkoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yenidoğanspor's Tarık Dervişoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Muammer Türkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
