The supporters of Akyurt booed when Kozan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Altan Gökkır didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kozan's Kubilay Akıncıbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boğaçhan Kura in the 18th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Vatan Kızılateş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kozan's Kubilay Akıncıbey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cihangir Akdiken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orkun Merih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kubilay Akıncıbey made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Göktürk İspinoz sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Kozan's zone, Kasım Ulucağ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kubilay Akıncıbey came out of the goal and Kasım Ulucağ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd match minute, Kozan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saip Akgün to maneuver through the defense. Kubilay Akıncıbey had great luck who in the 41stth minute grab hold of the ball when Kasım Ulucağ from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 42 played minutes Akyurt got a freekick which was hit by Okanalp Yuvakuran. Kubilay Akıncıbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan Kızılateş, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee ignored Kozan's protests and gave Efe Bakırhan a yellow card for diving instead.
