Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Derik FK's Cenap Temizel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beşir Yolaç in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okan Kadıoğlu saved Derik FK from getting behind. 5 minutes into the match, Derik FK's goal looked a bit too open when Beşir Yolaç came free, but Okan Kadıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Derik FK booed when Ceylanpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytunç Nesil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ceylanpinar's goalkeeper Sancarbey Okboğa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beşir Yolaç might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Okan Kadıoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beşir Yolaç ran back to his position shaking his head. Cenap Temizel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sancarbey Okboğa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Kürşat Mansız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okan Kadıoğlu having to interfere. In the 28th minute Beşir Yolaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okan Kadıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Derik FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nadir Ergazi was slow to take the kick. During this time Ceylanpinar's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Nadir Ergazi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Derik FK's Okan Kadıoğlu did a great save. Beşir Yolaç kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cenap Temizel scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sancarbey Okboğa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ali Kürşat Mansız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Okan Kadıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Derik FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beşir Yolaç was the one to do the kick off. Cemalettin Yersel charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cemalettin Yersel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beşir Yolaç in the 60th minute of play forced Derik FK's goalkeeper Okan Kadıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ceylanpinar's Sancarbey Okboğa got control of the ball when Armağan Akçakıl tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cenap Temizel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beşir Yolaç struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Okan Kadıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceylanpinar. Beşir Yolaç blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okan Kadıoğlu having to make a save. Okan Kadıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Kürşat Mansız in the 73rd minute of the match. Beşir Yolaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cenap Temizel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancarbey Okboğa having to interfere. Beşir Yolaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Okan Kadıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Derik FK got a freekick which was hit by Armağan Akçakıl. The Derik FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Derik FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
