The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Nejat Alp Kadim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Faruk Özgunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamdi Akgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hadi Korhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu having to interfere. Ali Faruk Özgunay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nejat Alp Kadim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, Mümin İlseven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerede FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mümin İlseven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nejat Alp Kadim came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Gerede FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nejat Alp Kadim couldn't finish the play. If Nejat Alp Kadim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ciftehavuzlar JK's zone, Mümin İlseven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Faruk Özgunay came out of the goal and Mümin İlseven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The audience was convinced that Hamdi Akgün's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the game, Necati Subahi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerede FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciftehavuzlar JK the free kick. Necati Subahi kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Hamdi Akgün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nejat Alp Kadim might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Faruk Özgunay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nejat Alp Kadim ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Günay Heybetli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nejat Alp Kadim struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ali Faruk Özgunay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerede FK. Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdi Akgün in the 76th minute of play. Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdi Akgün in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gerede FK's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Necati Subahi got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Ciftehavuzlar JK booed when Gerede FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necati Subahi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarkan Hallaç kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90thth minute of the game Mümin İlseven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciftehavuzlar JK's Ali Faruk Özgunay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Ciftehavuzlar JK's Hamdi Akgün sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arif Oğuz Bozoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Ciftehavuzlar JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
