Hazım Safvet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tuncay İşbilir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lütfullah Tara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tuncay İşbilir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lütfullah Tara in the 19th minute of the match. Tuncay İşbilir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lütfullah Tara in the 21st minute of play. İlker Tekiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Boran Rıdvan in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ekrem Baykal could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which İlker Tekiner however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Dörtyol getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ozan Osmanlıoğlu hit a great ball. Lütfullah Tara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tuncay İşbilir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Hazım Safvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dörtyol's supporters rose to their feet, but Hazım Safvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tuncay İşbilir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lütfullah Tara was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Dörtyol's Lütfullah Tara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tuncay İşbilir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmet Boran Rıdvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlker Tekiner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lütfullah Tara in the 59th minute of play forced Eskisehir SK's goalkeeper Tuncay İşbilir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Yavuz Selim Şemsifer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eskisehir SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Boran Rıdvan in the 66th minute of play forced Dörtyol's goalkeeper İlker Tekiner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Boran Rıdvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ekrem Baykal came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Eskisehir SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ekrem Baykal couldn't finish the play. Tuncay İşbilir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hazım Safvet in the 91st minute. Tuncay İşbilir made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Hazım Safvet sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dörtyol players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Eskisehir SK.
