The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cumhur Sabih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gürol Ulubaş fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aydinspor's protests and gave Gürol Ulubaş a yellow card for diving instead. Gürol Ulubaş hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Erkut Türksan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakut Korcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tayyar Çakıroğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Besim Tuğsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a left leg Erkut Türksan saved Aydinspor from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, Aydinspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürol Ulubaş to maneuver through the defense. Erkut Türksan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ali Numan Tuğaltan. When Tayyar Çakıroğlu got free in front of the goal in the 76th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Besim Tuğsan was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Alapli's Emrullah Necmi got a free kick in the 80th minute. Şansal Ergül received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alapli's zone, Şansal Ergül stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Besim Tuğsan came out of the goal and Şansal Ergül tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayyar Çakıroğlu in the 90th minute of play forced Alapli's goalkeeper Besim Tuğsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tayyar Çakıroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Although Aydinspor had been in control for most of the match, Alapli still came away with the win.
