After having played for 4 minutes, Mevlüt Turay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gönen SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mevlüt Turay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josef Hruška made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mevlüt Turay in the 6th minute of play. Stefan Cetnar's late challenge caught a Gönen SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Cetnar helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes YNWA got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Cetnar. In the 10th minute, Özcan Koçyiğit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gönen SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Gönen SK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ejder Akçal hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, YNWA's Esen Birdal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Erdem Yavuzalp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Josef Hruška made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Koçyiğit in the 24th minute of play. Esen Birdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Erdem Yavuzalp having to interfere. Yusuf Yiğitoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Gönen SK's goalkeeper Ali Erdem Yavuzalp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esen Birdal. Esen Birdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josef Hruška showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mevlüt Turay, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Özcan Koçyiğit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, YNWA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Cetnar to maneuver through the defense. Ejder Akçal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Josef Hruška tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özcan Koçyiğit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Hruška having to interfere. Özcan Koçyiğit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Esen Birdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ejder Akçal hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Gönen SK got a freekick which was hit by Ejder Akçal. Ali Erdem Yavuzalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esen Birdal in the 77th minute of play. If Esen Birdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Erdem Yavuzalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Müjdat Düden's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Esen Birdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ali Erdem Yavuzalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özcan Koçyiğit in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josef Hruška prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 played minutes Gönen SK got a freekick which was hit by Ejder Akçal. Gönen SK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though YNWA had controlled the match.
