If Azmi Davarcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baykam Tanacan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Sarioglan booed when AK Gençlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olcay Uçuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derman Tumbay acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Halil Can Tükel. A collision led to AK Gençlik getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Münir Atasoy hit a great ball. Özalp Tuğkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarioglan's goalkeeper Cebrail Sevimli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sarioglan's Özalp Tuğkan got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olcay Uçuk hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When AK Gençlik's Karahan Şehzade in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarioglan's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Özalp Tuğkan got free with Derman Tumbay in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AK Gençlik getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Berkin Şahinhan hit a great ball. Derman Tumbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Yeltekin in the 30th minute of the match. Özalp Tuğkan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Derman Tumbay made a huge save. If Özalp Tuğkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the match, AK Gençlik's goal looked a bit too open when Erdinç Yeltekin came free, but Derman Tumbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Derman Tumbay managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Sarioglan's Özalp Tuğkan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 41st minute, Erdinç Yeltekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sarioglan's zone, Karahan Şehzade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cebrail Sevimli came out of the goal and Karahan Şehzade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Azmi Davarcı made a kick off. Cebrail Sevimli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karahan Şehzade in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, one of Sarioglan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Cebrail Sevimli, was totally fooled by AK Gençlik's Aral Toper, who 55 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 61 played minutes AK Gençlik got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Uçuk. The AK Gençlik fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when AK Gençlik's Karahan Şehzade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in AK Gençlik's zone, Rıdvan Taşel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derman Tumbay came out of the goal and Rıdvan Taşel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Derman Tumbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erdinç Yeltekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özalp Tuğkan in the 72nd minute of play forced AK Gençlik's goalkeeper Derman Tumbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, AK Gençlik's goal looked a bit too open when Erdinç Yeltekin came free, but Derman Tumbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, AK Gençlik's Azmi Davarcı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cebrail Sevimli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Tarkan Tutuş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AK Gençlik and the Sarioglan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sarioglan getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Zekeriya Aksungur hit a great ball. Erdinç Yeltekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Derman Tumbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derman Tumbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erdinç Yeltekin's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Özalp Tuğkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derman Tumbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AK Gençlik booed when Sarioglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baykam Tanacan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 99 minutes, Orkun Han managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarioglan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orkun Han was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of AK Gençlik echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sarioglan had held the ball for most of the match.
