Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yılmaz Erkılınç got the match started through his kick off. Mevlüt Çetinsu struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Akgün Atay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izmit. If Sungurbey Acabey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Sungurbey Acabey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abidin Kantürk. Izmit's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sungurbey Acabey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 15th minute Mevlüt Çetinsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akgün Atay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Elbistan's zone, Mevlüt Çetinsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akgün Atay came out of the goal and Mevlüt Çetinsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Elbistan's Şeray Özgun in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Izmit's goalie prevented a goal. Akgün Atay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mevlüt Çetinsu in the 25th minute of the match. Yılmaz Erkılınç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akgün Atay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yılmaz Erkılınç in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Elbistan getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alpay Akçiçek hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, Izmit's Kenan Eslem shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akgün Atay came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Izmit reached it. In the 37th minute of the match Paşa Kaşif sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abidin Kantürk skillfully saved the ball. Sungurbey Acabey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Şeray Özgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Izmit's Abidin Kantürk got control of the ball when Sungurbey Acabey tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Elbistan's Şeray Özgun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abidin Kantürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Yılmaz Erkılınç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Izmit fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şeray Özgun to make the kick off. If Şeray Özgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Yılmaz Erkılınç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izmit's supporters rose to their feet, but Yılmaz Erkılınç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Atay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yılmaz Erkılınç in the 65th minute of play forced Elbistan's goalkeeper Akgün Atay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yılmaz Erkılınç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Atay having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Mevlüt Çetinsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yılmaz Erkılınç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alpay Akçiçek was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Elbistan getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alpay Akçiçek hit a great ball. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Izmit's Kenan Eslem got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Akgün Atay. Mevlüt Çetinsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Mevlüt Çetinsu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Izmit fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Yılmaz Erkılınç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Elbistan got a freekick which was hit by Cüneyt Dokuzer. Yılmaz Erkılınç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Akgün Atay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elbistan's Cüneyt Dokuzer got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Elbistan's Hayri İhlas got a free kick in the 99th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Izmit walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
