The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Gürün SK's Gökhan Tanbolat got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malatya's zone, Songurhan Başkaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Batuhan Dural came out of the goal and Songurhan Başkaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Songurhan Başkaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batuhan Dural having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Hüseyin Can İhtişam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malatya's Batuhan Dural was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Malatya's Ali Cengiz Salur made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bedirhan Adanır was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hüseyin Can İhtişam to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Malatya's Ali Cengiz Salur made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bedirhan Adanır was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ali Cengiz Salur sped through Gürün SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bedirhan Adanır. 60 minutes into the match, Ali Cengiz Salur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bedirhan Adanır. Gürün SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Cengiz Salur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurhan Başkaya in the 65th minute of play forced Malatya's goalkeeper Batuhan Dural to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ömer Keyhüsrev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gürün SK's Bedirhan Adanır proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Gürün SK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gürün SK's Hafız Naim got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ömer Keyhüsrev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malatya's supporters rose to their feet, but Ömer Keyhüsrev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedirhan Adanır breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batuhan Dural didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hüseyin Can İhtişam went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüseyin Can İhtişam in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Batuhan Dural saved Malatya from getting behind. Hüseyin Can İhtişam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hüseyin Can İhtişam came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Gürün SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hüseyin Can İhtişam couldn't finish the play. When Ömer Keyhüsrev, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 93 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bedirhan Adanır was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Gürün SK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Malatya's performance. The match ended with a win for Malatya.
