The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mümtazer Hezarfen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Çelebi İlmen got free with Yunus Bulut in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Naim Tulunay in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yunus Bulut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Naim Tulunay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Yunus Bulut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Türker Okcun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mümtazer Hezarfen having to make a save. Naim Tulunay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Türker Okcun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mümtazer Hezarfen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Türker Okcun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fenerbahçe's Rauf Duha in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ERHAN81FB's goalie prevented a goal. Naim Tulunay hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Mümtazer Hezarfen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fenerbahçe's Yunus Bulut proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe from getting a goal against them. Okan Ersevim charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Okan Ersevim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yunus Bulut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naim Tulunay in the 44th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Naim Tulunay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yunus Bulut. Naim Tulunay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naim Tulunay made a kick off. Rauf Duha might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mümtazer Hezarfen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rauf Duha ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Cenan Sidar. After 63 played minutes ERHAN81FB got a freekick which was hit by Hacı Ali Bostancıoğlu. Mümtazer Hezarfen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Türker Okcun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naim Tulunay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Levent Karaalp. After a rather tough play, ERHAN81FB's Turan Vural got a free kick in the 87th minute. Rauf Duha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mümtazer Hezarfen having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Çelebi İlmen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 98 minutes into the game, Çelebi İlmen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ERHAN81FB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe the free kick. Çelebi İlmen hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Fenerbahçe's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
