Kudret Özertan made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mümtazer Köker sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute, İbrahim Uluerkan made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Harun Karaman. KARAGUMRUK FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of KARAGUMRUK FC booed when Akcaabat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emran İçten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Numan Ahi charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Numan Ahi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, one of Akcaabat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Akcaabat. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for KARAGUMRUK FC. Serbülent Altuncuoğlu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kudret Özertan. 1-1. Ahmet Harun Karaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Varol Akasma in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Boran Kayaalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Harun Karaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mümtazer Köker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kudret Özertan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mümtazer Köker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Varol Akasma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melik Nafi kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Kudret Özertan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İldeniz Danış in the 55th minute of the match. KARAGUMRUK FC's Mümtazer Köker got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mümtazer Köker in the 67th minute of play forced Akcaabat's goalkeeper Kudret Özertan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umut Umural fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kudret Özertan having to interfere. In the 69th minute Mümtazer Köker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kudret Özertan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, Boran Kayaalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akcaabat and the KARAGUMRUK FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Boran Kayaalp hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Umut Umural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umut Umural received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Kudret Özertan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mümtazer Köker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kudret Özertan having to interfere. Kudret Özertan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 89 minutes into the match, Akcaabat's goal looked a bit too open when Mümtazer Köker came free, but Kudret Özertan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Mümtazer Köker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KARAGUMRUK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mümtazer Köker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kudret Özertan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mümtazer Köker, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the KARAGUMRUK FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
