After 7 played minutes, Türkeli's Nazım Bakkalbaşı shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cengiz Tutku came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Türkeli reached it. The referee ignored Türkeli's protests and gave Gencal Yekta a yellow card for diving instead. Abay Nabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oğuzalp Ahsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oğuzalp Ahsen in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abay Nabi saved Türkeli from getting behind. Cengiz Tutku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mevlüt Sezgin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Tevfik Hikmettin fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silopi SK's protests and gave Tevfik Hikmettin a yellow card for diving instead. Bumin Hitit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abay Nabi having to interfere. Oğuzalp Ahsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Abay Nabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Mehmet Şefik Birsoy notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Silopi SK's Cengiz Tutku. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nazım Bakkalbaşı during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Bumin Hitit got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
