The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Çağatay Öksal during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Daricaspor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çağatay Öksal to maneuver through the defense. Hıdır Bayraktaroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedri Tezal in the 8th minute of play. Hıdır Bayraktaroğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artaç Akatay in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes YeniMahalleSpor got a freekick which was hit by Hamdullah Hacıoğlu. A hard shot by Çağatay Öksal from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Hıdır Bayraktaroğlu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With 13 minutes on the clock, Şansal Şahsuvaroğlu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 14th minute, Şansal Şahsuvaroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Ferit Altunhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Bäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Daricaspor SK's goal looked a bit too open when Faruk Nafiz Ağyar came free, but Mehmet Ferit Altunhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When YeniMahalleSpor's Faruk Nafiz Ağyar in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Artaç Akatays short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Hıdır Bayraktaroğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oğuzcan Hanecioğlu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Daricaspor SK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Yılmaz Kotuzhan hit a great ball. Faruk Nafiz Ağyar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Ferit Altunhan having to interfere. Faruk Nafiz Ağyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Yılmaz Kotuzhan fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daricaspor SK's protests and gave Yılmaz Kotuzhan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of YeniMahalleSpor booed when Daricaspor SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yılmaz Kotuzhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artaç Akatay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Joakim Bäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Ferit Altunhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artaç Akatay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joakim Bäck was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. YeniMahalleSpor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Faruk Nafiz Ağyar struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mehmet Ferit Altunhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YeniMahalleSpor. Joakim Bäck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mehmet Ferit Altunhan came out and tried to block the shot, but Joakim Bäck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 75th minute. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Joakim Bäck took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Mehmet Ferit Altunhan to make any attempt to save it. Joakim Bäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Ferit Altunhan having to interfere. Joakim Bäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Yılmaz Kotuzhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hıdır Bayraktaroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faruk Nafiz Ağyar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Ferit Altunhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The YeniMahalleSpor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing YeniMahalleSpor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
