Korcan Temizcan came out and tried to block the shot, but Necaettin Aşık slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Korcan Temizcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Necaettin Aşık's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. A collision led to Diyarbakirspor FK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Atakan Arıbaş hit a great ball. Korcan Temizcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necaettin Aşık, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Mehmet Şefik Tekrim could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Hurşit Karanalp however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Diyarbakirspor FK's Atakan Arıbaş got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alişan Bedih charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alişan Bedih the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of galatasaray booed when Diyarbakirspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alişan Bedih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Necaettin Aşık recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Özkan Tunçboğa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğaner Çelenkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korcan Temizcan having to interfere. Korcan Temizcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necaettin Aşık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doğaner Çelenkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Korcan Temizcan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Necaettin Aşık went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Hurşit Karanalp made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mehmet Şefik Tekrim sent off a good shot on target. If Mehmet Şefik Tekrim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Süreyya Şanberk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Alişan Bedih in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by galatasaray's Doğaner Çelenkoğlu. If Necaettin Aşık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necaettin Aşık struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Korcan Temizcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for galatasaray.
