Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Konyaspor FC's Orkun Cumhur started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Başar Karlukhan in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selim Özakıncı saved Konyaspor FC from getting behind. The supporters of Ataköy booed when Konyaspor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lokman Polatalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akgün Günden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Selim Özakıncı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Başar Karlukhan in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Konyaspor FC's Sait Bucak got a free kick in the 11th minute. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Akgün Günden sped through Konyaspor FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Selim Özakıncı. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Konyaspor FC's Orkun Cumhur in the 42nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Dinç Özaltın was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ataköy through an amazing save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tamer Masuk during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 49th minute, Sefa Oran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinç Özaltın made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Gazanfer Urgun sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Orkun Cumhur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinç Özaltın having to make a save. After having played for 58 minutes, Gazanfer Urgun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Konyaspor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gazanfer Urgun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Orkun Cumhur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gazanfer Urgun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinç Özaltın having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Konyaspor FC got a freekick which was hit by Gazanfer Urgun. In the 74th minute, Akgün Günden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Selim Özakıncı was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Selim Özakıncı made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Akgün Günden sent off a good shot on target. Başar Karlukhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selim Özakıncı having to interfere. Akgün Günden might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selim Özakıncı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Akgün Günden ran back to his position shaking his head. When Akgün Günden came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ataköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akgün Günden couldn't finish the play.
