Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Behçet Sarduç to make the kick off. When Kurtuluş Orhon came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Green & Blue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurtuluş Orhon couldn't finish the play. Green & Blue's Resulhan Sebuktekin got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Çakır Atikoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Corum JK's Erdal Tunçbilek got control of the ball when Çakır Atikoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio França lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Erdal Tunçbilek.
