The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hızır Akşit during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Valenciennes FC booed when Keskin JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hızır Akşit didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Muammer Ulaç came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Valenciennes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muammer Ulaç couldn't finish the play. Özdemir Çağan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Cafer Paye, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Muammer Ulaç succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Muammer Ulaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Baha Neşet might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Özdemir Çağan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baha Neşet ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Cafer Paye in the 29th minute of play forced Valenciennes FC's goalkeeper Özdemir Çağan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muammer Ulaç might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fazıl Hüsnü Durali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muammer Ulaç ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Valenciennes FC's zone, Baha Neşet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özdemir Çağan came out of the goal and Baha Neşet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Muammer Ulaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baha Neşet struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Özdemir Çağan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keskin JK. After 56 minutes, Orhan Veli Pekergin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valenciennes FC and the Keskin JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ali Cafer Paye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Baha Neşet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Özdemir Çağan made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ali Cafer Paye sent off a good shot on target. Valenciennes FC's Özdemir Çağan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Valenciennes FC from getting a goal against them. In the 67th match minute, Valenciennes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Veli Pekergin to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Özdemir Çağan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Özdemir Çağan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baha Neşet in the 83rd minute of the match. Muammer Ulaç might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fazıl Hüsnü Durali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muammer Ulaç ran back to his position shaking his head. Ali Cafer Paye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Özdemir Çağan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muammer Ulaç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Keskin JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Valenciennes FC.
