Zafer Bekdil's late challenge caught a Kemeralti SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zafer Bekdil helped the player get up and apologised. Ahmet Arif Rasim hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Gerze's Ali Galip Koralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baturalp Ağırtaş in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armağan Münib got free with İzzettin Kutalp in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İzzettin Kutalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talip Cevan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baturalp Ağırtaş made a kick off. During the 52nd minute of the match Zafer Bekdil completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zafer Bekdil a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Zafer Bekdil hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturalp Ağırtaş in the 55th minute of play forced Gerze's goalkeeper Ali Galip Koralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulaş Tümer during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Gerze:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kemeralti SK:s goal. Yavuz Selim Taşgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ali Galip Koralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Armağan Münib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İzzettin Kutalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armağan Münib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kemeralti SK's Baturalp Ağırtaş in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gerze's goalie prevented a goal. Ali Galip Koralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturalp Ağırtaş in the 77th minute of the match. Talip Cevan struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. İzzettin Kutalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerze. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Yavuz Selim Taşgan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kemeralti SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yavuz Selim Taşgan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Galip Koralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İzzettin Kutalp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armağan Münib went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gerze's Ali Galip Koralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baturalp Ağırtaş in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Yavuz Selim Taşgan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kemeralti SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yavuz Selim Taşgan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Baturalp Ağırtaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th match minute, Gerze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Arif Rasim to maneuver through the defense.
