Celil Erakalın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naim Köksan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aykut İbiş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yiğitcan Süvari having to interfere. Aykut İbiş's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yiğitcan Süvari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Emir Müslim put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Celil Erakalın. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Birol Turgay during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Tokatspor JK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Birol Turgay. If Aykut İbiş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aykut İbiş came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yiğitcan Süvari could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Tokatspor JK defense, Aykut İbiş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yiğitcan Süvari. The Tokatspor JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yiğitcan Süvari should have stopped the shot. Osman Ali Bucuk kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Aykut İbiş kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yiğitcan Süvari. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Kutlay Baykam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celil Erakalın. TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kutlay Baykam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 42nd minute, Mustafa Kemal Perviz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, İlhami Şengil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's Celil Erakalın didn't even have to move. TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's Celil Erakalın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naim Köksan in the 45th minute of play. Mustafa Kemal Perviz's late challenge caught a Tokatspor JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Kemal Perviz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Kemal Perviz to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naim Köksan was the one to do the kick off. Emir Müslim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Celil Erakalın made a huge save. If Artun Doğanhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tokatspor JK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Kutlay Baykam hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Artun Doğanhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yiğitcan Süvari was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Celil Erakalın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naim Köksan in the 68th minute of the match. Emir Müslim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naim Köksan in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celil Erakalın saved TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK from getting behind. After 73 minutes, Korkut Mahmut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK and the Tokatspor JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's Korkut Mahmut got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With an all-out effort, Tokatspor JK's Celil Erakalın threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Naim Köksan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yiğitcan Süvari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykut İbiş, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Celil Erakalın successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's zone, Emir Müslim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celil Erakalın came out of the goal and Emir Müslim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naim Köksan in the 89th minute of play forced TÜRKMENGÜCÜ SK's goalkeeper Celil Erakalın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tokatspor JK's Sercan İpekli got a free kick in the 95th minute. Mustafa Birol Turgay kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Tokatspor JK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
