An unexpectedly hard shot by Naim Köksan in the 5th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Hüseyin Keçeci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Emir Müslim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hüseyin Keçeci. Real Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emir Müslim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Orhun Nurdag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Birol Turgay during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Real Madrid's Hüseyin Keçeci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naim Köksan in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goalkeeper Hüseyin Keçeci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emir Müslim. 19 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Naim Köksan came free, but Hüseyin Keçeci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Real Madrid's Alper Sayraç in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tokatspor JK's goalie prevented a goal. If Alper Sayraç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arif Burak Kutlualp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alper Sayraç hit a great ball. Emir Müslim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hüseyin Keçeci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hüseyin Keçeci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naim Köksan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tokatspor JK's Sercan İpekli shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hüseyin Keçeci but with some difficulty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naim Köksan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 55 minutes on the clock, Sezen Ilıcak commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Arif Burak Kutlualp shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 60th minute Arif Burak Kutlualp managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Hazım Tanrıverdi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Emir Müslim struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Hüseyin Keçeci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tokatspor JK. Emir Müslim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Keçeci having to interfere. In the 79th minute Orhun Nurdag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiğitcan Süvari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Alper Sayraç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alper Sayraç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alper Sayraç in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yiğitcan Süvari saved Tokatspor JK from getting behind. Tokatspor JK's Emir Müslim got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emir Müslim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emir Müslim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Keçeci having to interfere. In the 98th minute, one of Real Madrid:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Madrid. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tokatspor JK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Madrid had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
