Niyazi Taşkan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Talat Böke. Izmit's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Talat Böke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedai Sıbgatullah in the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şener Oykut was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şener Oykut in the 52nd minute of play forced Marmara JK's goalkeeper Erkut Akağan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burç Baytüzün charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Burç Baytüzün the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Burç Baytüzün kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ferman Yalçuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şener Oykut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Burç Baytüzün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Marmara JK's zone, Ferman Yalçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erkut Akağan came out of the goal and Ferman Yalçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erkut Akağan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferman Yalçuk in the 69th minute. Şener Oykut struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Erkut Akağan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izmit. 77 minutes into the match, Marmara JK's goalkeeper Erkut Akağan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferman Yalçuk. Erkut Akağan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferman Yalçuk in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Marmara JK's goal looked a bit too open when Şener Oykut came free, but Erkut Akağan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedai Sıbgatullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talat Böke having to interfere. Ferman Yalçuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Erkut Akağan made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
