The referee ignored Gürgentep's protests and gave Bedir Çetin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Gürgentep was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedir Çetin to maneuver through the defense. Ömerli's Dinçer Onuralp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gürgentep. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efekan Irgat in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aykut Şengil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karhan Özgenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aykut Şengil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Efekan Irgat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykut Şengil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karhan Özgenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aykut Şengil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aykut Şengil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karhan Özgenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Gürgentep's goal looked a bit too open when Karhan Özgenc came free, but Aykut Şengil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gürgentep defense, Efekan Irgat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aykut Şengil. The Gürgentep fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aykut Şengil should have stopped the shot. Efekan Irgat took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aykut Şengil. Aykut Şengil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Efekan Irgat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aykut Şengil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karhan Özgenc in the 42nd minute of the match. Gürgentep's Karahan Sarp got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efekan Irgat to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Karhan Özgenc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Aykut Şengil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Karhan Özgenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ömerli's Efekan Irgat got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Gürgentep's Aykut Şengil got control of the ball when Karhan Özgenc tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Efekan Irgat came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ömerli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efekan Irgat couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ömerli booed when Gürgentep was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alperen Kandemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pars Perinçek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Haydar Sonalp having to interfere. In the 76th minute Efekan Irgat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykut Şengil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karhan Özgenc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. After a rather tough play, Ömerli's Numan Yanaç got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Ömerli getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alperen Usal hit a great ball. Gürgentep's Aykut Şengil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efekan Irgat in the 90th minute of play. When Karahan Sarp came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Gürgentep fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karahan Sarp couldn't finish the play. Karhan Özgenc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Aykut Şengil made a huge save. When Karhan Özgenc came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ömerli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karhan Özgenc couldn't finish the play. Ömerli played a much better game than Gürgentep and deserved their victory. The Gürgentep players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
