Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aras Görkem Ulucağ started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes Malatyaspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tolga Eskicioğlu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tolga Eskicioğlu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Malatyaspor's Sungurhan Bakır did a great save. Rauf Geylanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sungurhan Bakır having to interfere. Malatyaspor's Sungurhan Bakır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rauf Geylanoğlu in the 9th minute of play. Sungurhan Bakır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauf Geylanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Rauf Geylanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sungurhan Bakır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Hakan Uçar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malatyaspor's Sungurhan Bakır was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sungurhan Bakır was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Rauf Geylanoğlu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rauf Geylanoğlu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rauf Geylanoğlu spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Malatyaspor's goal. Reha Tarık struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Sungurhan Bakır didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karagümrük JK. In the 32nd minute, Rauf Geylanoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malatyaspor's Aras Görkem Ulucağ got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malatyaspor's Korcan Ünsever got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes, Sungur Usal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karagümrük JK and the Malatyaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Sungur Usal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aras Görkem Ulucağ in the 52nd minute of play forced Karagümrük JK's goalkeeper Çeliker Çelenkoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Aras Görkem Ulucağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tolga Eskicioğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sungurhan Bakır. Malatyaspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerimhan Emektar got free with Çeliker Çelenkoğlu in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Korcan Ünsever hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Rauf Geylanoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sungurhan Bakır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sungur Usal got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sungur Usal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Malatyaspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
