After having played for 9 minutes, Faruk İcmal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GİRESUNSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faruk İcmal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fırat Sağlamtürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faik Özgener having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Faruk İcmal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GİRESUNSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bayramören the free kick. In the 18th match minute, GİRESUNSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faruk İcmal to maneuver through the defense. Arın Coşkun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Faik Özgener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fırat Sağlamtürk in the 51st minute of play forced GİRESUNSPOR's goalkeeper Faik Özgener to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Gökçen Üner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GİRESUNSPOR and the Bayramören players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to GİRESUNSPOR getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gökçen Üner hit a great ball. Arın Coşkun struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Faik Özgener didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bayramören. Bayramören's Fırat Sağlamtürk got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The GİRESUNSPOR players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bayramören from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
