A sloppy throw-in by Boğaçhan Ertuna in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galatasaray Sk's Utkan Ünalp. Bahtiyar Uluşahin struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Behçet Bayman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray Sk. In the 26th match minute, Laleli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayram Onsoy to maneuver through the defense. Galatasaray Sk's Baturalp Ökten got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Laleli's Çakabey Uçbay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Bahtiyar Uluşahin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Behçet Bayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturalp Ökten in the 39th minute of play. Galatasaray Sk's Akgün Ülküsel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray Sk from getting a goal against them. Galatasaray Sk's Akgün Ülküsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aycan Battal in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aycan Battal in the 46th minute of play forced Galatasaray Sk's goalkeeper Akgün Ülküsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Akgün Ülküsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aycan Battal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Akgün Ülküsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aycan Battal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bahtiyar Uluşahin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Galatasaray Sk's Akgün Ülküsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çakabey Uçbay in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Bayram Beycan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laleli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray Sk the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Bayram Beycan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bahtiyar Uluşahin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Laleli getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Boğaçhan Ertuna hit a great ball. Galatasaray Sk's Baturalp Ökten got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Galatasaray Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Bayram Onsoy came free, but Akgün Ülküsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Baturalp Ökten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Laleli's goalkeeper Behçet Bayman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bahtiyar Uluşahin. When the referee ended the match the Laleli players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
