After a rather tough play, Menemen SK's Alaaddin Bayındır got a free kick in the 8th minute. Refik Eldem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Mehmet Ali Türköne made a huge save. Lütfi İkbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mirkelam Uluöz in the 11th minute of play. Lütfi İkbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Nabi Zübeyir, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Mehmet Ali Türköne successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Menemen SK's Mehmet Ali Türköne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orhan Seyfi Öğün in the 17th minute of play. Refik Eldem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orhan Seyfi Öğün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Nedim Ozansu during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Menemen SK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ahmet Nedim Ozansu hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match HataysporFC got a corner. Menemen SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gencal Geçer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Orhan Seyfi Öğün blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mehmet Ali Türköne having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Ali Nabi Zübeyir notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of HataysporFC's Lütfi İkbal. Lütfi İkbal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Nabi Zübeyir in the 35th minute of play forced HataysporFC's goalkeeper Lütfi İkbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Refik Eldem to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute, Refik Eldem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If İslam Ekvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mehmet Ali Türköne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Refik Eldem in the 78th minute of the match. If İslam Ekvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Menemen SK's goalkeeper Mehmet Ali Türköne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The HataysporFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Menemen SK to win.
